Storm by Simon Cattlin As the equatorial Atlantic waters heat up as part of steady global warming larger, fiercer and more frequent storms are likely to hit the Caribbean, Central America and the southern and eastern US seaboards. “Storm” is a major hurricane making landfall as seen from low orbit. I sat through a weak hurricane in a beachfront Florida hotel in 1982 and remember the amazing rain, lighting and windspeeds. I’m sure a direct hit from a major hurricane like this one would have been a sobering experience. |
